She should be in movies! An annoying look at a not so typical trip to the store…

As a mom who goes shopping with their kids, I hate the fact that I get stalked while I’m walking around looking for pan and some Suavitel.

“Oh, wow!  Is she your daughter?  She is so beautiful.  Have you ever thought about putting her in movies?”

Oh lord.

I always respond with a thanks, but no thanks.  One time, I even responded in Spanish! What these young gals are doing, I imagine, are innocent college students that are paid to bring in people to an audition.  They mention all the big shows and major studios that will be at some local hotel for this exclusive event and she thinks my nena has the stuff to make it big in Hollywood. Pffft, like as if I didn’t know my daughter is spectacular… (:

What gets me, Amigas, is that they stalking moms or dads.  What I wonder is when do they put me on their radar? Since I entered the store?  When I get my cart?  Looking for some chones?

After “encounters” like these (yes, it has happened more than once) I get self conscious about what I pick up or look at.   What makes the situation even worse is when you continue to bump into to them while you continue shop knowing that they are looking for another mom with kids.

Tell me this has happened to you.

And the funny thing is that it only happens a Target!
