Homeschooling. An update!

A, C, B+ and a D+.

These are my son’s current grades.  This is a massive improvement.  I know we aren’t even a month into the school year, but I have to tell you that he has greatly improved in his studies.  The one subject he’s working on is math (obviously). This is the subject he has the most trouble and the one that his teacher has embraced him with.   His teacher is awesome!

I am so proud of him.  So, so proud.  I know we still have so much to accomplish but I am really impressed on how he has grasp this whole new world of homeschooling.

Amigas, this is what he needed.   He needed this change in order to be able to view his education in a whole new level. An education that until now, he was throwing away.  The eagerness to complete an assignment has become the norm for him.  To see his graded papers right away with passing grades, the satisfaction on his face says it all.

He was working on percentages and was able to figure it out at his own pace.  It might have taken him a while, but he got it.  And on his own too!  That is huge for him. HUGE!

Like I’ve told you before, never in a million years would I have thought that I would be homeschooling.  Much less a freshman in high school.   I really thank God that I moved him out of traditional school and into the program that he is in now.   It’s a little bit of a struggle to have him at home but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in this world.

And that amigas, is Mamihood…
