The kids are in school, my husband is at work and my 9th grader is on the computer doing school work. This is my time. The quietness of the house and the tapping of the keyboard is comforting to me. I know it sounds a little strange but it truly does.
My mornings are special to me. Some are a little more hectic than others and in turn, my “healthy” choices for breakfast are a little lame. There are times that I can sit and enjoy my bowl of oatmeal with my son and some mornings I don’t eat at all. This is where the Breakfast Project comes in. I may not eat healthy at times but I do HAVE to drink my coffee. Oh and my daily blog fix. After that amigas, I am good!
I have my set of blogs that I like to read in the morning. During the hectic mornings, I might not be able to get to read them (I have my blogs to keep up too!), so during the mornings that I do get to read I sit back, eat (sometimes) and enjoy my cup of cafecito (lattes).
Here is my current list of blogs that I read:
There is something about these blogs that start my day off right. I’m sure many of you know them and follow them as well. If you don’t, I suggest you check them out!
Here in So Cal, we still have summer, hot, yucky weather. So, while I read these blogs, I’ve been drinking this delicious latte called Ooh La Latte! This is a cold drink for anyone to enjoy anytime of the day. I use strong coffee instead of the espresso shots and add a little of my favorite flavored creamer and ta-da! Perfect for me to enjoy! Plus- it’s super easy to make!
1 oz Sugar Free white Chocolate Sauce
½ oz Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup
1 cup Fat Free Milk
2 shots espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee, chilled ice
Combine chilled espresso or coffee, milk, sauce and syrup in a tall glass filled with ice and stir well.
There you have it amigas. This is how I spend most of my mornings. I want to personally invite you over to The Breakfast Project for more info and recipes for a more healthier options when it comes to you meals!
