Divine Appointments…

Do you believe in that phrase?  As a Christian, I believe every encounter we have is a divine appointment.  We’ve all had them.  I don’t believe stuff “just happens.”  No. They happen for a reason.

My husband is applying for a better job within the post office.  We’ve been praying and applying for jobs like crazy.  A couple of weeks ago, we saw a job opening in el OC and we jumped on the chance to apply.

It took about 2 weeks for HR to respond back with an appointment to interview. He was set to have an interview last Thursday. We were so excited.  His interview was going to be at a near by post office plant, not too far from where he works now.

In his current position, there has been some challenges with his co-worker who is in-and-out of the same position my husband is in.  When his co-worker is back on the job, my husband doesn’t get work hours. This has been going on for a while, so getting another job was vital for both of us.

Last Thursday, as my husband was about to clock in, he had a note on his door, from his supervisor with instructions to NOT clock-in, but to report to another post office for work.

That other office?  It was precisely the same office he was to have the interview at!

Note: His supervisor had no clue about the interview.

He went to the other office and walked in to report for work.  When he met with the post master of that office, he found out that he had already known that post master from another station. They got to talking about his current situation and he was introduced to the other post masters that were conducting the interview. Those post masters immediately recognized my husband from when he first entered into the post office workforce.

Now, I’m not saying that these encounters had any influence over the interview.  As a matter of fact, the two post masters that knew him, did conduct my husband interview. Still, it made the whole interview process a little easier on my already nervous husband.

Tomorrow, my husband is going for a physical exam and is one-step closer in getting a better position at work.

When God is in control, all things fall into place.

God is so good!

That’s so awesome! Yes, these thing that seem to “fall into place” fall into place for a reason. You just wait and see (and be still. And know that He is God) 🙂
