The L.A. County Fair is in its final days, so it’s now or never to pack up the car and head on down to the fair! There’s still a lot to explore! I went this past weekend and the kids and I had a lot of fun! The temperature was perfect for a day of rides, carnival food and well, carnival food!
Other than stuffing your face with popcorn and funnel cake, we had the chance to venture outside of the rides and check out some of the MANY exhibits the L.A. County fair has to offer.
One exhibit we explored was the Pencils 2 Pixels – The Art of Animation. Folks, we spent an hour and forty-five minutes in the place. The kids had a BLAST! I was impressed with the amount of interactive exhibits within the walls of this hall! Take a look at our time inside the Pencils 2 Pixels – The Art of Animation.
My son was so happy with his little movie. He was asking questions like crazy! The Walt Disney Family Museum had a section where I was finally able to introduce the kids to the animation part of the Disney empire! They were fascinated with all the sketches of the very first concept of Disneyland. They were as entranced as I was with all the Disney stuff. Ugh, this was the part that I didn’t want to leave!
Along with the Disney fun, Video Game Animation, Sony Pictures Animation, Saturday Morning Cartoons, Anime, Animation University. Origins of Animation, DreamWorks and Chuck Jones Center for Creativity.
This is one place you don’t want to miss. The rides will always be there, but to have all of these creative powers under one roof is simply amazing.
