Once upon a time, 17 years ago, I was introduced to a product that would change my married life forever. As a newlywed who could hardly get a pot of water to boil, my mom told me about an easy-peasy recipe that until this day, I still use. It was the best cooking I did as a new wife. Chicken Fajitas. Unfortunately, I totally bombed the rice, but my main dish was super delicious. Even the veggies were finger licking GOOD! So, what was this product? Chef Merito!
Chef Merito offers a broad variety of the world’s finest spices, seasonings, marinades and other specialty products. I’ve been a huge fan of Chef Merito for many years. By using their products for simple recipes like fajitas and carne azada, you’ll be dishing out recipes like as if you’ve been cooking for years! Here is my favorite recipe:
Easy Chicken Fajitas
Ingredients:
1 package of frozen pre-cooked chicken strips
1 green bell pepper – sliced into strips
1 red bell pepper- sliced into strips
1 yellow bell pepper- sliced into strips
1 cilantro bunch-chopped
1 jalapeno sliced into strips
1 onion sliced into strips
2 tbs. chicken seasoning
1 tsp. oil
Directions:
Cook the frozen chicken according to the package. While you’re cooking the chicken, sprinkle 1 tbs. of Chef Merito Chicken Seasoning onto the chicken. In a separate pan, add 1 tsp. of your favorite cooking oil and add all your veggies. Sprinkle remaining chicken seasoning on the veggies. Cook the veggies to your liking. Then pair your yummy dish with some rice and beans! Wow. My mouth just watered!
Chef Merito isn’t only for pollito. The Steak and meat seasoning is perfect for your homemade marinade for the carne azada you have in the fridge! And yes, even pork and fish! See! All you need in one place.
