I have been selected by Kraft Foods to be a spokesperson for KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese. While I have been compensated for my time, my opinions are my own.
One of the biggest stresses I have, besides what’s for dinner, is what to feed the kids when they get home from school. They come home so hungry, it’s incredible! The first thing they ask when they get in the car when I pick them up from school is what’s for snack.
The funny thing about snacks is that each child wants something different. My daughter wants a sandwich while my son wants pasta. It’s come to the point that I’ve had one breakdown already. I get so frustrated when it comes to catering to both, I took matters into my own hands. Now, I cook what I cook and they eat what I cook. Final!
One of the snacks they love the most are Taquitos. Oh, boy can they eat taquitos. What I love about this snack is that it can go with just about anything. I told about one of my favorite memories growing up. You can read about it here. Now, as a mom, I love when my kids eat with delight!
Taquitos with KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese
Ingredients:
1 box of KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
1 avocado
1 cup of diced lettuce
1 box of your favorite Taquitos
Salt to taste
Directions:
Cook the KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese and the Taquitos according to the box. Slice and mash the avocado. Kinda like a guacamole. Add salt if needed to the avocado. Yum! Once the Taquitos and KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese are done, now it’s time to serve! Place your Taquitos on a plate and top with the lettuce and the avocado. Serve 2.5oz of the KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese. Yum!
I hope your kids enjoy!
