It’s all about the chocolate at Disney California Adventure!
Chocolate. It’s a word that can send a tingling sensation on your taste buds before you even have the chocolate in your hands. Quick poll: What is your favorite kind of chocolate? Mine is Milk Chocolate.
(My mouth just watered)
Ghirardelli’s chocolate is the ultimate delicacy that I indulge myself in whenever I need to go to the mall. For some, it’s shoes and clothes, for me it’s Ghirardelli’s and the Disney Store. Not in that order… sometimes. (:
The wait is soon to be over with the massive expansion at Disney California Adventure. One of the additions to DCA is non other than Ghirardelli’s. If the smell of sweet chocolate doesn’t guide your nose and tummy to the shop, I’m sure the sundaes or the decadent chocolate squares that other park goers are eating will get you to this one-stop chocolate shop.
Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate shop is located in the “Pacific Warf” area of Disney California Adventure and is the FIRST to open inside a theme park. I was over there yesterday for the grand opening.
George Kalogridis, President of Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure Vice President, Mary Niven and of course, Mickey and Minnie gave the Bienvenida to Martin Thompson, the President and CEO of the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company.
Together they celebrated 160 years of the chocolate company. The ribbon and confetti fell and it was off to chocolate heaven.
With over 10 different sundaes and ice cream goodies to drool over, this soda fountain and chocolate shop has got our sweet tooth craving covered.
You can see and hear familiar sounds of San Francisco inside the shop. It’s so cute. The menu also includes Hot Chocolate drinks, Espresso and floats. Now, you can have YOUR cake and EAT it too: Disney and Chocolate.
Well done, Mickey… well done!
This is not a paid post. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I was invited to this exclusive event to provide coverage of the awesomeness that is Disney California Adventure and Ghirardelli Chocolate.
