This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® and Latina Bloggers Connect. All thoughts and adorable daughter are my own.

The holidays are coming and I can’t wait to immerse myself with everything that has to do with Thanksgiving and Christmas. We’ve already made plans to celebrate the holidays with my tia. We’ve got the who is bringing what all sorted out and what we’re going to wear!  Each year we go all out. See, we don’t only celebrate the holiday season, we also celebrate my daughter’s birthday. She was born on Christmas eve and much to everyone’s delight, we host a birthday AND Christmas, all at the same time.  Every year, I make sure my daughter has the best day ever. This year she is asking for a girls day out. Hello manis and pedis!

JOHNSON’S® Baby has an exclusive three step hair care nourishing regimen, JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES®. A baby’s hair may double in thickness by their second birthday, but remains more delicate than adult hair. Baby hair is more prone to breakage, and for this reason, JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® is formulated with hair conditioners that gently moisturize as they cleanse, to nourish hair as it grows.

Holiday Perfect Hair for Little Girls! #NoMoreTangles

I wish we could go to the salon to have our hair done, but with her getting more of the Asian genes than Latino, well, her hair is super straight. I’ve tried in the past to style her hair with big, bold curls and well… it just doesn’t happen. And it’s heartbreaking because she loves curly hair like mine. I’ve tried everything, except get her a perm! Still the results are the same. In the matter of hours, her hair is slick straight again.  One day though, I discovered that as I took a pair of braids apart on her hair, she had a bit of bounce and curl to it. Without her noticing, I styled her hair with the curls from the braids, and she loves it. She was in heaven! So, now whenever she wants to change her hair for a bit, I try this hair style that gives her curls, without using any hairstyling tools!

Curls-a-la-Trensa

Cleans your nenas hair with  JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® Shampoo and Conditioner. When you’re combing her hair out, after the shower, make sure to nourish her hair with some JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® Leave-In Conditioner. That way you can easily comb out any leftover tangles. Finally, once her hair is dry, use JOHNSON’S® NO MORE TANGLES® Detangling Spray to help you style the hair. Ready, here we go.  I do the braids at night, so in the morning, all I have to do is undo the braids and we’re set to go!

  • I side-parted her hair in the front so that I don’t have to part her hair, once I undo the braids. This makes it easier.
  • Section off a small portion of hair and make a tight braid. I have to make them tight so that the curl last longer. Tie the ends with a no-tangle rubber band.
  • Once you’ve sectioned off and braided all the hair, send your daughter off to sleep in la la land. Buenas noches!
  • In the morning, undo all the braids and style her hair.
  • Add a cute bow and you’re done.

Beautiful, bouncy, adorable hair that will be perfect for the family holiday portrait and Thanksgiving dinner.

Happy Holidays!
