A Mulan-Inspired Lunar New Year Celebration #DisneySide
Chinese New Year is upon us and if you’re planning to celebrate with the kids, then let this post inspire you to host a Mulan-inspired celebration. Even if your kids have never been exposed to the Lunar New Year celebration before, use this time to talk about other cultures and host and immersion party! As parents, we should never pass up an opportunity to learn and teach our children about other cultures.
We’ve been exposed firsthand to the Asian culture, as my husband is Filipino. We’ve been ‘taught’ to keep many of the customs that a typical Asian household may have. We don’t use shoes inside my home, we use certain gestures when meeting and greeting elders on my husband’s side of the family, and white rice is a staple in my cooking.
I love and embrace this side of our culture. Enjoy the following recipes and crafts as the world celebrates the year of the goat!
