Let’s Get Nostalgic with Oldies but Goodies on Netflix #StreamTeam

Have you noticed a surge of vintage shows making a comeback? Whether it be a TV show or movie, they are slowly coming back! A lot of shows that I watched as a child are now getting a makeover and are making their debut, and guess what? My kids are loving the new (sorta) shows. I love how I get to mess with their minds by singing the theme songs or recognizing the villains. It’s so much fun. With summer vacation at our door steps, Netflix will be one of our primary source of entertainment when we are home.  They keep adding shows and movies titles that I truly cant’ wait to show my kids.  What TV show or movie are you excited about making its comeback?

Growing up Latina was so much fun. Telenovelas were a huge part of my life. I remember leaving church early with my mom (hahaha), just so we can catch the beginning of the novela. I can still remember my very first telenovela. Juana Iris. Oh, wow. That title brings back so many memories. Now, let me first say that the telenovelas of yesteryear are nothing like the telenovelas of today.  Well, this novela may be too old for Netfilx but much to my surprise, there’s a variety of beloved telenovelas on Netflix right now. Shows like Maria la del Barrio (I KNOW, YAYAYAYA!!!) and El Chapulín Colorado ( WHHAAAAAT?) are streaming right now, with English subtitles. I’ve been binge watching these shows and more. Even my mom is into it. It’s like we’re back in 1988 again! So much fun! I can’t wait to see what else they add. I will wait impatiently every month.  Which novela was your favorite?

I know these shows might be hard for the little ones to watch, so here’s a list of what they ( and yes, you too) can enjoy on Netflix!

Inspector Gadget

Danger Mouse (6/15)

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends

My daughter has been obsessed with My Little Pony. I could see myself in her but in my times, we had to wait for a repeat of the show on Saturdays. With her, everything is at her fingertips. Lucky duck!
