Christmas Shopping: The LeapFrog LeapTV
10 shopping days. This is it, parents. The Christmas holidays shopping season is down to 10 shopping days. Time to brave the crowds! Pack up everybody in the car, head on over to your favorite shopping destination, and get your shopping on. For kids, the Christmas season is a time to receive everything they have been waiting for all year long. Today we are going to talk about the LeapTV.
LeapTV is an educational gaming system that allows your kids to get off the couch up on their feet get moving and learning. This is a gaming system that is designed for young learners. I feel this is a great start for your introducing kids to gaming systems especially for little ones between the four, five, six, seven, eight year old age range. Especially if they have older siblings to have the game consoles from from other brands. The LeapTV allows kids to have full control of their very own games. What I mean is that they will have their own games, their own profiles and play with characters they love and recognize.
There are well over 100 games that are available for kids and what I love about LeapTV is that as they grow, gaming system will grow with your child. With games like Dance and Learn, Disney Princess, favorite Nickelodeon show personalities, and of course all their favorite characters from LeapFrog. So what is included you get a leap TV console? Along with the controller, you get:
- The console
- Console stand
- Motion sensing camera, & a camera mount
- And so much more!
You have to have very good Wi-Fi connection in your home. This way your child’s learning and gaming experience will go without any kind of interruptions. And your TV has to have an HDMI connector.
The gaming system comes with console that connects to the TV. And one remote control that is used in order to play with the games. If you have more than one child you can have more than one account. Each child can actually personalize their accounts, which is super cool. The control is big enough so that little hands can handle it and the commands from the LeapTV are actually easy to understand that even kindergarten and first graders to easily get on their own. There are three ways to play each game is unique to help your kids get up and move. There’s body motion in which your child will sometimes be asked to dance, jump, karate chop moved with their hands and the LeapTV actually recognizes the motion! At times games will ask you to point the controller to the TV and the controller actually has a wristband so it doesn’t go flying anywhere.
And how else are kids going to have a good time while learning at the same time? I feel that any child will enjoy the LeapTV. My daughter actually enjoy playing with the Frozen game. Of course, Frozen is still very very popular. And my youngest son had fun with the math portions of the game.
Go to leapfrog.com, and you can get the LeapTV for $59 at select retailers.
