Family Adventures with Netflix
2016 is set to be a year of family adventures for us. Last year, I made it a point to have family “get togethers” once a year, and guess what? We did it! Every month I made sure to make the time (and food) for my familia. We made memories, we laughed and oh boy, we ATE! I am proud of what we accomplished last year and I hope to bring that same togetherness into this year.
For 2016, I proposed to my family a year of family adventures. Our travels might not be extravagant or out of the country, but meaningful trips with purpose will surely happen. Last year, we went on a road trip to check out the Sequoias. We made a pit-stop at the San Andreas Fault and ended our trip with a stay at our favorite place, Pismo Beach. It’s was a trip of a lifetime. It was amazing.
This month I want to plan a short trip to somewhere close by. With recent storms hitting our area this week, I’m hoping to convince my hubby to take us to the mountains to play in the snow. Next month, we’re heading to San Jose to visit family. The kids are excited to see and play with their cousins that they haven’t seen in years.
We’re taking a page from the Croods book, to make adventures for our kids, no matter what. We had a great time taking the kids to a place they’ve never been to. Sure, they got bored along the way, and were freaking our when I was explaining to them what the San Andreas Fault really does, but it was fun spending quality time with them, since we hardly had any phone reception throughout our trip.
The world’s first family is back and funnier than ever in this all-new original family sitcom! Eep, Grug, Thunk, Ugga, Sandy and Gran are taking the prehistoric Croodacious era by storm as they deal with modern-day problems for the first time ever in history. School, slumber parties and elections are some of the hilarious wonders of modern life The Croods are discovering!
