As my kids get older, the morning routine gets easier. My kids don’t require me to dress them or get them ready. All I do in the morning is wake them up. This is the beauty of having a 9 and 10 year old. They help and encourage each other in the morning and that includes breakfast time. Now, don’t get me wrong. There are plenty of times in which my kids don’t wake up when the alarm goes off, and if our morning is late by just a few minutes, the whole morning routine is out the door.
Ah, the morning routine. As moms, we either wake up ready or not. Most of the time, it’s not. When my husband is home, he makes the kids their breakfast. When he’s not home to pamper them with a made-from-scratch meal, then often times it’s just cereal or leftovers for breakfast. See, I make sure they have something in their tummies, before they make it out the door.
Sometimes it’s a snack or something hearty that they can eat at home or it might be something they can eat in the car, on our way to school. Those kinds of meals are my favorite. The kind that, if we have to, just heat it up and go, go, go!
Ok, moms. Let’s get real about our morning routine. Check out the Morning Swap videos and watch as a busy working mom learns where the real ingredients like those in Jimmy Dean Delights come from:
Jimmy Dean Delights are an excellent source of protein, making it possible to enjoy a wholesome breakfast any day of the week. And by wholesome, I mean whole eggs, lean meat and real vegetables, which we all like to have for breakfast, right? And guess what? They are super delicious! I like to add ketchup to my morning sandwiches and Jimmy Dean Delights Turkey Sausage, Egg White & Cheese Croissant has always been my favorite. Why? It’s convenient, it’s filling and ready to go in just two minutes.
Kind of like us! Out of bed and out the door in 2 minutes. I’m sure by the time we get to high school with these two kids, we’ll have the morning routine down pat.
Happy Breakfast!
