Anaheim Welcomes a Brand New Northgate Market!

When I first moved to the OC, I was scared and lonely. Even though I live with my mom and my sister’s familia, I still felt a little isolated in the oh so quiet neighborhood. I was the new kid on the block and while my family welcomed me with open arms, I had to get used to a new way of living. See, what I mean by that is, I came to Orange County from the San Gabriel Valley where it’s almost a 100% Asian community. I lived in the SGV for almost 10 years. I got used to being in the hustle and bustle of living close to Los Angeles. I had a variety of grocery stores, all within my city limits, where I can shop from and the culinary options were endless. It was wonderful. Then I moved and I had 1 Hispanic market (a Northgate Market!) and zero Asian markets to choose from. I felt depressed.
After a while, I got used to the fact that I had to settle with the grocery store options I was dealt with and took full advantage of the trips I had to make (we’re talking about having to take a freeway to get there!) if I wanted to make some of our favorite dishes. Then I saw that Northgate Market opened up an incredible store in the city of Norwalk and wished with all my heart we would get a store, just like that, close by.
And now we did.
The city of Anaheim welcomed the most amazing Northgate Market to date. This market is beautiful! I mean, it’s new and clean, but oh so beautiful. Take a look at the new Northgate Market located at 2030 E. Lincoln Ave Anaheim, CA 92806~ (714) 507-7640~ Hours: 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Talk about sensory OVERLOAD! I wanted EVERYTHING! TODO!!!!!! There’s a salad bar, tamale bar, salsa bar, queso bar, sopa bar, hot food bar, DE TODO. Carniceria, tortilleria, loncheria, jugos and aguas frescas and even a coffee shop.
This is one market you don’t want to shop at when you’re hungry. If you do, trust me, you’re going to be in HUGE trouble because you’re gonna end up like me, and wanting to buy and eat everything your eyes see.
