Pinocchio is on Blu-ray and Disney Movies Anywhere!
Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve written about a movie, but when it’s about a classic movie, that speaks volumes about love, courage and learning from our mistakes, Pinocchio is something to write about. I can’t even remember when I last saw this movie. In fact, my kids have never seen the movie. We’ve been on the ride at Disneyland many, many times, but I’m sad to admit that my kids never really sat and watched the movie from beginning to end. Well, all that has changed.
Now, remember Pinocchio: be a good boy. And always let your conscience be your guide. – The Blue Fairy
Now that Pinocchio has been released on DVD, Blu-ray and Disney Movies Anywhere for the first time ever, you can watch at home or on-the-go with no strings attached! I’m not one for carrying our tablets, but when I have to go somewhere and the kids are with me, it’s easy to give them something to do via a tablet. It doesn’t matter how old they are. Trust me.
Did you know that Pinocchio won two Academy Awards? In fact, it holds the distinct honor of being the first Disney film to win an Oscar for both musical categories: Best Score, and Best Song (for “When You Wish Upon a Star”). As the kids and I sat and watched Pinocchio, it was comforting to see their faces as they actually paid attention to the story. They recognize some of the parts in the ride at Disneyland in the movie, especially Monstro! Yes, even when we get on Storybook Land Canal! Who doesn’t recognize Monstro’s wide open mouth as we enter a world of fantasy? The kids paid attention to the moral of the story and that’s a hit in my book.
Go ahead, make a fool of yourself, then maybe you’ll listen to your conscience. – Jiminy Cricket
We had the most amazing family movie pack sent to us from Disney. We got the movie, of course! On tope of that, Disney made sure we were able to watch the movie, everywhere we go! From water bottles to lunch boxes and even a battery to charge up our devices. But the best gift of all is the gift of a start. We now have our very own star to make a wish upon.
I hope that when we make our magical wishes, they too will soon come true.
