Bubblefest is the most anticipated event in Orange County! I look forward to it every year. Sadly, my kids are growing up and they are little by little leaving events like this to the younger kids. I think my heart has broken into a million pieces. That’s life, right? You win some, you lose some. But, that doesn’t mean that we still can’t provide the information that you need for your bubble-licious visit to Bubblefest at Discovery Cube in Orange County.
Meet my dear friend Candice. Her son and my youngest son are the best of friends and she has an adorable daughter that is perfect for this visit. So she went to The Cube (for the very first time! WHAAAT?) and from the looks of it, she and her daughter had a blast! Well, when it comes to bubbles, who wouldn’t have fun, right?

My friend and I took our 4 year old daughters to Bubble Fest 2017 at the Discovery Center. The girls really enjoyed playing in the jump house and learning about how bubble reacts in different environments. They were able to blow bubbles into a tube of dry ice to try and get it to freeze but the bubbles wouldn’t float low enough to touch the ice. They had their first experience inside a Bubble Roller. Watching them try to stand on two feet, inside a bubble on water was definitely a highlight of the night.
Once inside the show, the kids got a front row seat while the parents sat in the audience. The pre-show entertainment was a little above their heads with the big words that none of the kids could pronounce. However, all that was forgotten when the lights dimmed and the bubbles began. Deni Yang was amazing! He was entertaining, funny, and really good with the kids. He took the kids on an underwater adventure and to the snow all in an hour’s time. He enlisted a couple of volunteers from the audience and it was very cute to see these little ones interact with him.
The last 20 minutes of the night consisted of a laser show. Deni has a magical way of manipulating the lasers so they appear and disappear within seconds. Once he added bubbles to the laser show, it was even more magical. There were rainbows of colors and gazillions of bubbles blowing into the audience for several minutes.
It was truly a unique experience and something I will remember for a long time.
The bubble-licious festival will pop into Discovery Cube in Orange County is now playing and run through April 16, 2017. General admission ticket prices are $17.95 for adults, $12.95 for children ages 3 to 14, $14.95 for seniors age 62 and older, and free for children 2 years old and younger. All Bubblefest add-on ticket prices will be $10.
General admission tickets include all Cube interactive exhibits, and Bubblefest tickets provide admission to one Mega Bubblefest Laser Show and all bubble-themed exhibits and activities. Discovery Cube is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online or upon arrival at the Discovery Cube entrance.
