It’s the most delicious time of the year. The Boysenberry Festival is in full bloom and Knott’s Berry Farm is the place to be this spring. With food, vendors and all-around good time, the Boysenberry Festival brings young and old fans to the park. I just go there to eat and my kids for the rides. See the whole young and old reference? Haha! It’s not until I was older that I appreciate the park for what it is. All my kids see are thrills and rides while I see the history and culinary delights that Knott’s Berry Farm offers. My how times have change.
Here are three reasons why you have to visit Knott’s Berry Farm during the Boysenberry Festival:
Eat Your Way Through the Park: See, during the festival, there are different locations throughout the park that offer something different for the Boysenberry Festival. You can literally eat something at one stand, you walk around to your next stop and eat something else. See, eat and walk. Eat and walk. It’s a win-win!
Try Something New: Ever try alligator? Well, Knott’s Berry Farm is your one-stop shop to finally conquer this culinary feat! I won’t dare try it but I have tricked my kids into trying it and they loved it. I’m guessing because it tastes just like chicken. I originally told them that they were chicken tenders and once they finished the alligator, I told them what it actually was. I don’t regret my decision and they can now say they’ve eaten alligator! Gracias, Knotts!
Shop for Future Boysenberry Treats: One of the best parts about the Boysenberry Festival is that you’ll find treats that the park normally doesn’t sell throughout the year. Some ingredients you can buy at the parks and make at home, while others you can buy at the parks and enjoy them at the tome. This is the only time you can shop for Boysenberry anything! Candy, drinks, treats, toppings, Boysenberry plants, funnel cake, Boysenberry cheesecake, Boysenberry ICEE Floats and the delicious Boysenberry Latte! Oh, and one more thing: The Fun Bun.
See! There’s so much to do in so little time. For tickets check out the Knott’s Berry Farm site. Also, follow them on Twitter, Facebook and on Instagram and don’t forget to join in on the fun use #boysenberryfestival in all your pictures and videos!
I shall leave you with three sweet words…
Fun Bun. Boysenberry Wine. Boysenberry Funnel Cake.
See you at Knott’s!
