We just had a preview of hot Summer days to come and not a moment too soonI The 97-degree weather was perfect for kicking off waterpark season at Knott’s Soak City!
With it’s newly expanded water tower thrills and guest lounge area, fun-seeking families eagerly awaited Knott’s Soak City opening weekend 2017.
Read on to find out what’s new, what’s back, and what’s the deal for Summer fun at Knott’s Soak City!
What’s New
Knott’s Soak City is Orange County’s largest outdoor waterpark, and it just got a whole lot bigger! Soak City added 7 new slides on 2 new attractions. The Wedge has an extra large raft –big enough for 6 people! — that swooshes through a super twisting slide.
The second addition is a 2-in-1 sort of mega slide dubbed Shore Break. One part of this multi-slide attraction are the colorful tubes. The 60-ft descent sends thrill-seekers into high-speed freefall and loop that lasts just about 20 seconds.
20 seconds!
Did I mention freefall begins with the lifeguard pushing a button to drop the floor beneath you?! Your teens will LOVE it!
The second part of Shore Break is a pair of dueling slides where riders can launch at the same time to a racing finish through the exhilarating slides.
I’ll be honest amigas…I didn’t ride any of the new slides! I was alone with little ones and I didn’t get a chance to experience the newest waterslides. Gives me all the more reason to go back this summer!
And now for the cabanas.
Oh, the cabanas!
Knott’s added a whole new lounging section, including a row of new cabanas that can comfortably seat 8 guests. One of the best perks of renting a cabana is the server! You can order food and drinks through the server, and they’ll bring right up to your cabana.
What’s Back
Longboard’s Grill is back but this time with an OC-style makeover! The fresh restaurant layout expands the seating area to double its previous size but still has that surfer vibe. New menu items include fresh wraps, extra-large breaded chicken tenders, and classic favorites like grilled cheeses burgers and fish & chips.
Just need to quench your thirst? Knott’s Soak City has dedicated beverage stations for a quick refill without the wait.
What’s The Deal
Knott’s has one of the best deals in Orange County for family fun! Their Gold Pass offers admission to both Knott’s Berry Farm and Soak City for only $117. No blackout dates and good for one year!
They also have a monthly payment plan when you purchase online.
